Upcoming Laboratory Space in Abilene Provides Opportunities for Public Health
As part of a higher education assistance fund (HEAF) project, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) at Abilene received funds to build a laboratory space for the Department of Public Health in May of 2020. After being put on hold due to COVID-19, the project is once again underway.
Study Investigates Link Between Lactation and Visceral, Pericardial Fat
Duke Appiah, Ph.D., and a team of researchers recently completed a study titled, “The Association of Lactation Duration with Visceral and Pericardial Fat Volumes in Parous Women: The CARDIA Study.”
